This is the second win for the Wolverines since 1989 where they beat Seton Hall. TBS broadcast the 2026 Final Four (7.2M P2+) and National Championship (8.7M) this year, underscoring CBS' year ago NTI performance by -57% (16.8M) and -56% (19.6M), respectively, in P2+ impressions. Comparing CBS' full 2026 tournament average to Turner (TBS, TNT & TruTV), CBS still outpaced the Cable nets by +144% (6.7M vs 2.8M) even without the Final Four and Nat'l Championship. Broadcast also achieved superiority over Cable with the Women's Tournament on ABC, defeating ESPN by +100% in P2+ as well as producing more eyeballs among all key demos across the board. The women's madness concluded with their National Championship on April 5th where the UCLA Bruins beat the South Carolina Gamecocks 79-51 in it's first ever NCAA title.
